my team are working closely with the City of Bratislava and would be very happy to welcome all of you to EAONO 2012 6th Instructional Workshop and Consensus in Auditory Implants. Over 100 instructors have already agreed to participate making valuable contributions from their individual fields of expertise where they are recognised masters. Round Tables will discuss not only the Consensus in auditory implants topics but also other controversial otological issues. During the In Pre-congress day there will be the facility to participate in the Live Surgery Course which will take place at the University Hospital, Bratislava.
In addition to this highlight 10 workstations will allow temporal bone dissection for 20 participants a day. Young aspiring Otologists can apply for this course which will be instructed by experienced otology surgeons throughout all the 4 congress days.
We are especially honoured to welcome Jan Helms and Mirko Tos as our guests of honour. Jan Helms was our first international teacher in otology and we appreciate his repeated visits to Slovakia to teach our Otology Fellows the principles of otologic surgery. Mirko Tos has visited Slovakia several times and his books are a fount of knowledge for appropriate otologic solutions whenever you are in complicated situation. Mirko's Copenhagen Acoustic Neuroma Course improved the level of Acoustic Neuroma surgery in Slovakia.
This EAONO event brings friends together and we would like to show you Slovak hospitality at its best with national cuisine, folk music and a vibrant atmosphere. Beautiful vineyards at the foot of the Carpathian hills near Bratislava will supply the wine for our social events.
